Iranian-Canadian artist, Maral Karaee was born in Iran and lived there until her 19th birthday. She moved to the Netherlands in 2001 to pursue her dreams in film making and animation. With a Master’s degree in Art, Media, and Technology from the Netherlands and a graduate certificate in 3D animation from Seneca college in Ontario, She emphasized writing and producing 2D animations for children. Maral believes in the power of animation to transcend language and cultural barriers to share empowering messages. Passionate about inclusivity and diversity, she wants to create stories that people remember and transforming the world around her.
